"Let's Twist Again" is a vocal written by Kal Mann and Dave Appell, and released every bit a single by Stubby Checker. 1 of the biggest striking singles of 1961, it reached No.8 on the U.S. Billboard pop chart (No.3 on Greenbacks Box) in August of that year and later reached No.2 in the U.Grand. in February 1962. The song refers to the Twist trip the light fantastic toe craze and Checker's 1960 single "The Twist", a ii-time U.S. No.1 single (in September 1960 and once more in January 1962 on re-release).
The song received the 1962 Grammy Award for All-time Rock & Roll Recording. Checker also recorded the song in German every bit "Der Twist Beginnt" and in Italian as "Balliamo il Twist". A sample of "Der Twist Beginnt" would after be used by The Residents to begin their 1976 album The Third Reich 'due north Roll. The vocal appears on the soundtrack of the 2011 moving-picture show The Help.[1]
Croatian vocalist Tatjana Cameron Tajči made a remake of the song in Croation renaming it Moj mali je opasan. In 1985, Kids Incorporated covered "Let's Twist Again" in the Flavour 2 episode "Rock of Ages".[2]

The song was covered in French by Johnny Hallyday. His version (titled "Viens danser le twist") was released in 1961 and spent 7 weeks in total at no. ane on the singles sales chart in France (from 13 November to 13 December 1961 and from 13 Jan to 9 Feb 1962).[16] In Wallonia (French Kingdom of belgium) his single spent 40 weeks on the chart, also peaking at number 1.[17]
